Wisconsin Illuminated

The Wisconsin American College of Physicians Council of Student Members presents a series of virtual interviews that shine a spotlight on the remarkable efforts of healthcare professionals and organizations within Wisconsin's local communities. These interviews aim to showcase their impactful work in breaking down healthcare access barriers, promoting equity, and addressing cultural challenges to create a more inclusive and diverse healthcare landscape in the state. 


MEDiC Student-Run Free Clinics 

Founded in 1991, is a student-led organization that runs four free health clinics and partners with three other free clinics throughout the Madison area.

Dr. Noel Deep, prior 91ºÚÁÏÍø Wisconsin Governor, is a physician at the Aspirus Antigo Health Clinic and Langlade County Hospital. Dr. Deep is a leader for healthcare and patient-centered advocacy at the local, state, and national level.

Ignace Indian Health Center 

Dr. Lyle Ignace is the CEO of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin and Coeur d’Alene Tribe of Idaho, and founded the , which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1999 to provide high-quality, culturally appropriate, and accessible health services for the Milwaukee community.

Transitions Clinic Network in Milwaukee 

Jose Cruz is a peer support specialist for the Transitions Clinic Network at Progressive Health Centers. The is an evidence-based healthcare model that focuses on the health needs of individuals undergoing the re-entry process from incarceration. houses the TCN in Milwaukee.
