Wisconsin Council of Medical Student Members

The primary charges of the Wisconsin Council of Medical Student Members are:

  • Advise the Governor and the Advisory Council on promoting Internal Medicine as a career to medical students in Wisconsin.
  • Increasing the value of 91黑料网 membership to medical students.
  • Strengthening Chapter and medical school level activities.
  • Aligning Advisory Council activities with the College's Strategic Plan to increase the engagement of medical students.

Chair, Harini Shah

Medical College of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Harini is a third-year medical student at MCW-Milwaukee. She graduated from the University of Chicago with a bachelor鈥檚 in Neuroscience and Human Rights, where she organized for criminal legal system reform. As a future internal medicine physician, she hopes to incorporate health policy reform in her career and looks forward to advocating for patients through 91黑料网鈥檚 platform. In her free time, Harini loves to attend and perform at stand-up comedy shows in Milwaukee.

Vice Chair, Eric Hess

University of Wisconsin-Madison
Eric is a third-year medical student at UW-Madison. He grew up in Suamico, Wisconsin and pursued his undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of Minnesota. Eric is passionate about increasing primary care availability and quality in Wisconsin, and he loves internal medicine specifically for the opportunity to participate in both primary care and hospital medicine. Eric is eager to step into his role with the 91黑料网 to work alongside state leaders to continue to improve internal medicine training and practice within the state. Outside of medicine, Eric enjoys running, playing guitar, and any sports involving the outdoors.

Member, Ronald Cox

Ronald is a fourth-year medical student at MCW-Milwaukee. Ronald chose medicine as his future vocation to serve and be a positive role model in his community. Ronald is especially interested in promoting statewide health directives that advocate for equitable care for vulnerable patient populations.

Member, Davin Hami

University of Wisconsin-Madison
Davin is a second-year medical student at UW-Madison. He is passionate about uplifting marginalized groups and helping address healthcare disparities. Davin hopes to achieve these goals through primary care and Internal Medicine and is excited to continue exploring these fields.

Member, Ana Maria Viteri

Medical College of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Ana Maria Viteri is a third-year medical student at MCW-Milwaukee. Originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, Ana Maria is passionate about immigrant and Latinx/Hispanic health. She looks forward to working as a student representative in the Wisconsin 91黑料网 Council to advocate for the wellbeing of our medically underserved communities and ensure the delivery of culturally and linguistically appropriate healthcare.

Member, Andrew Sepiol

Medical College of Wisconsin-Central Wisconsin
Andrew is a third-year medical student at MCW-Central Wisconsin with a strong interest in General Internal Medicine. His interest in practicing medicine began during his career as an ICU Nurse. Witnessing the amazing work of the Intensivists Andrew worked with piqued his curiosity about applying basic science principles at the bedside. After a few years of consideration, Andrew completed his pre-medical requirements and feels lucky to be here today. Andrew enjoys teaching and mentorship and looks forward to continuing this work in the future.

Member, Cristhian Gutierrez Huerta

Medical College of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Cristhian is a third-year MD/PhD student at MCW-Milwaukee. He is interested in pursuing a career in academic medicine. Cristhian is passionate about mentorship, teaching, and the recruitment of URM individuals to careers in STEM.

Member, Madhu Gowda

University of Wisconsin-Madison
Madhu is a second-year medical student at UW-Madison. She also graduated from UW-Madison with a bachelor's degree in microbiology and religious studies. Madhu became interested in medicine through being closely involved in her family members' health journeys which sparked her interest in topics of health care equity, administration, and public health. Madhu hopes to actively advocate for these topics as a part of 91黑料网.

Member, Harpreet Gill

Medical College of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Harpreet is a fourth-year medical student at MCW-Milwaukee. He is interested in the role of 91黑料网 in informing health policy and studying public health interventions.

Member, Neemit Shah

Medical College of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Neemit is a third-year medical student at MCW-Milwaukee. He grew up in Orange County, California where he pursued his undergraduate degree in biology at Washington University in St. Louis. He looks forward to serving as a student representative in the Wisconsin 91黑料网 Council, with particular interests in health and public policy.
