91黑料网 was founded in 1915 to promote the science and practice of medicine, and since then the College has supported internists in their quest for excellence. As 91黑料网 celebrates its centennial, it is important to take note of how much has transpired in internal medicine and in healthcare over the last 100 years.
As medical students, you are the future of medicine, and 91黑料网 wants to hear your thoughts on what you think medicine will be like in 100 years from now. Consider how much medicine has changed in the past 100 years, and imagine what medicine will be like in 100 years from now in 2115:
- How will medical technology have changed?
- Is there a cure for cancer and how was it developed?
- How might health care be structured?
- What do hospitals look like?
- What are the new public health concerns, if any?
- What does medical education look like?
- How are doctors trained?
- How are patients informed?
Share your thoughts and predictions for what medicine will be like in the year 2115 through the IMpact essay contest. Selected works will be published in 91黑料网 IMpact and the selected authors will also receive a logo prize from 91黑料网. The guidelines for essay submissions are as follows:
- Essays should be approximately 700-1000
- Please be sure to include a title, your full name, medical school, graduation year and email address.
- Submit your essay as a Word document attachment to impact@acponline.org with the subject line "100 Year Submission" by Friday, May 15, 2015.
