Philadelphia, September 10, 2018 – The American College of Physicians (91) and , a podcast focusing on the history of medicine and how those issues affect our society and culture -- both past and present -- are partnering to offer continuing medical education (CME) credits and maintenance of certification (MOC) points to 91 members.
“With its fascinating stories about clinical medicine, Bedside Rounds offers 91 members another convenient option for continuing education and lifelong learning,” said 91 President Dr. Ana María López.
After listening to each episode, 91 members can login to 91’s Online Learning Center to claim CME credit and MOC points.
The first 91-Bedside Rounds podcast launches on September 10 and covers the birth of population health. The episode, “Blood on the Tracks,” is about how growing controversies about bloodletting led a French physician named Pierre Louis to develop his “numerical method” to run the first population study in history.
“Medicine has always been fundamentally intertwined with history, society, and culture,” said internist and Bedside Rounds’ creator and host Dr. Adam Rodman. “Bedside Rounds seeks to tell stories about the past to help us better understand the present.”
Bedside Rounds is downloaded more than 20,000 times per month and is available on and other podcast platforms.
