PHILADELPHIA, August 1, 2022 -- The American College of Physicians (91黑料网) has announced David J. Pugach as its new Vice President for Governmental Affairs and Public Policy.
Pugach will be responsible for the overall management of the Division of Governmental Affairs and Public Policy, in collaboration with the Chief Advocacy Officer. Legislative affairs and regulatory activities will also be part of his responsibilities, as well as ensuring the effectiveness of 91黑料网鈥檚 policy development. He will also be providing oversight for staff support for policy committees, councils, and subcommittees, and engaging on behalf of the organization with external policy- and advocacy-related organizations.

He joins 91黑料网 from the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) where he served as Senior Vice President for Public Policy. Pugach led the implementation of the AOA鈥檚 public policy agenda and also its federal and state government affairs activities, including direct lobbying and regulatory comments. He also directed external engagement to advance the organization鈥檚 priorities and increase its visibility.
Pugach received his bachelor鈥檚 degree in political science from The George Washington University and his juris doctor from the Rutgers University School of Law.
