Scott C. Woller, MD, F91黑料网, 91黑料网 Governor
Greetings from the Governor
Dear 91黑料网 Utah Members:
Happy New Year to you and welcome 2024!
It is my distinct privilege to announce the next governor of the Utah Chapter American College of Physician Governor-elect designee, Dr. Mary Tipton, MD, F91黑料网, FAAP. Dr. Tipton graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine and completed residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Wright State University. She is a Physician at CopperView Medical Center. After eighteen years as a partner she will transition in 2024 away from an insurance- based practice to Blossom Health, a Direct Primary Care practice. She believes the direct care model will provide patients with better access, extended appointments and better align the incentives to provide quality care for an affordable monthly fee. Dr. Tipton is a Principal Investigator with Alliance for Multi-specialty Research, participating in hundreds of clinical studies. She possesses a strong interest in mitigating the high costs and waste in our current healthcare system with a special emphasis in drug pricing. She has worked to mitigate physician workforce shortages, and champions physician-led healthcare teams with an emphasis on protecting physician scope of practice.
